This was originally created as a t-shirt design (for Threadless, I think?) and I was DEEPLY bummed that they either didn't make my size or had sold out in a size that I could modify to forget me, I forget which . . . (I need an XL/XXL babydoll tee, or an XL regular tee that I can cut down to turn into a fitted tee.)

I would have worn it in a heartbeat, dammit!!

There's an LJ community called t_shirt_surgery that you might enjoy -- their memories are friendslocked, but IIRC (I'm not a member anymore), they had a really handy list of techniques and patterns.

I also use the slash-back technique to make larger t-shirts into a body-conscious fit (although people who wouldn't want skin showing would want to wear them over something -- I have a big backpiece tattoo that I don't mind having excuses to show off, so I don't mind being a little tarty in my t-shirt modifications, heh.)

I often wind up cutting down larger-size t-shirts, because I'm somewhere between an F and an H cup (depending on who's measuring and what brand the bra is), and it's easier to buy a big shirt and make it smaller at the waist/hips/arms than it is to find cute XXL fitted tees, sadly!

It's popular, and has survived the elimination rounds to the final vote for "Bestee" design of the year at Threadless.

You can still get your size, I think it's already been re-printed at least once (possibly twice). On the product page, We've Got Some Work To Do Now (by Travis Pitts), click on the button to ask them to email you when your size is available again, it probably won't take long.

Glad to see she ditched the baggy sweater. Velma always was hot for a skinny little thing.

Mwahhahhahh... I just read through all of her December stories that I had a chance of getting references from. The Girl Genius with a hint of Tree Lobster was my fav.
