Hot, steamy, deviant sex AND superhuman powers through biotechnology. :-)

It's not just you. It actually really annoyed the crap out of me - but "kinky sex blogger" makes for a hotter story than just "Blogger".

Still it's annoying sensationalism that belittles and minimizes the importance of the discovery and the overarching knowledge of the person who found it.

This _is_ El Reg we're talking about... it's read as much for the stylistic way it mis-represents stories as much as for the news it actually gets right :-)

Tabloid journalism for computer geeks.

See I see it saying "Kinky sex blogger is actually useful for something other than promoting the lascivious nature of human beings, by finding a major internet breach that most average computer users can't even hope to understand the logistics of."

I like the fact they said it, then again the "between the lines" that I usually see are often tinted a slight rose color.

Wow, such fame on my flist! I'm going to post a link from my LJ, if you don't mind. I think this is incredibly cool (and I hope none of my friends have sites hosted through iPower.)

Could they get any more sensational in their reporting? The fact that you uncovered this was 'cool' enough without having to harp on the 'kinky' parts.

Awesome to see that your work paid off, regardless.

I knew you weren't kidding when you told me, but wow. And the current top page, too. Need I mention this is yet another reason I like hosting my own sites?

See - proof that BDSM makes you smarter! The Register says so!

Congrats on the find. I am in awe, but that's only because I'm mostly clueless about 'net stuff.

Good question. I wouldn't be surprised if it were. :)

Re: On an unrelated note...
Damn. I see no reason to suspect that it was intended to be, but now that you mention it the correlation absolutely fits.

Everyone else is commenting on the "kinky" bits.
What I thought was rude was saying you discovered it via "an act of narcissism."
