Just woke up from the evening's activities...kellyannc and I went to a Halloween party with my girlfriend M. I got completely blitzed and was given alcohol and massages from cute lesbian chicks.

Mmmmm...cute lesbian chicks.

(Whoops--screwed-up LJ Cut fixed)

1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 shot vodka

Sit with your back to your host. Tilt your head back and open your mouth. Close your eyes while your host pours the sugar, the lemon juice, and the vodka in your mouth, in that order. Mix ingredients quickly and swallow. CAUTION: Failure to mix ingredients quickly may create an experience similar to drinking malted battery acid!

Wooo cute lesbian chicks!

That reminded me of a drink we used to make.. "floaters" You use thick juice, Kern's apricot nector works well.. put it in a small cup, float a piece of tissue or paper on it, and then slooowly pour the shot of whatever on top.. then carefully pull the paper out ( it helps to leave a tab sticking up of some kind. ) which leaves the alcohol floating in a layer on top. When you drink it, the juice stays on the bottom ( theorically ) and keeps you from tasting the shot. The drawback is that they are so easy to drink, and apricot juice is sweet enough to aggravate the problem if you get sick.

Cute lesbian chicks: drool... ;)

Does one have to mix it while it's in the mouth? Does this drink create the soda like fizz (I'm guessing the sugar does that by mixing with the lemon's acidity)? I usually drink vodka straight from the bottle or on the rocks.

Happy Halloween, BTW! :)

Yep, you gotta mix it while it's in your mouth. And quickly, too, if you don't like the taste of straight vodka.

It doesn't fizz; the lemon juice masks the taste of the alcohol (simple organic chemistry, an alcohol when mixed with an acid produces a chemical compound called an "ester," an organic compound of the form R-OCO-R'. In your stomach, the ester gets knocked back apart into alcohol and acid again. (That's why so many mixed drinks contain ingredients that are acidic, such as lemon juice or lime juice or orange juice or whatever; it helps kill the taste of the alcohol.) The sugar is therre to kill the sourness of the lemon juice and the bitterness of the vodka.

Oh ok. Yeah, remember that ester stuff. Learnt that in 11th standard in high school. Of course, I've forgotten it. I don't like mixing drinks that much. I like it neat/straight. Sometime I have it on the rocks with lemon juice and ice.

Maybe I should try this game on my next birthday ;)
