Kitteh adoption

We have three little teensy cute fuzzy teensy little adorable cute teensy fuzzy cute little kittens right now, which we're trying to find homes for.

In the meantime, my cat Liam has adopted one of them. The kitten and Liam love each other and are almost inseparable--when I take the kittens out, he tends to go straight for Liam.

It's heart-melting, really. I think Liam is going to miss him when we find a new home for him.

Is there any particular reason you can't keep this one kitten? Perhaps Liam's feeling a bit lonely & would like a friend of his own species? It's obvious from the photo that they belong together...

This! As a multiple cat owner, I can vouch for it not being much more work to take care of more than one. The vet bills double, but that's about it.

I actually adopted a second kitten just like my first because the first one really missed our other cat when she moved to grandmas house (Magickitty was the solitary type, Moon was the social type. MK is all alone in a house with 2 old people and loving life and moon has Cini to cuddle with any time he wants.

I agree if they have bonded then let them keep each other if at all possible. a lonely cat is so depressing lol.

We actually have 3 cats in the household already, plus the kittens, plus a cat we're trying to rehabilitate and find a new home for. It's too many kittehs!

Ah... I've had that many before... tough, sometimes. Pity there isn't a way around it, though. I'm going to be the eternal optimist and "pray" that something happens in the meantime you Liam you gets to keep that one kitten, though. :)

As a friend of the "family" I can vouch that there isn't a lack of other feline companions in their house right now. Actually the Toy Box over floweth with kittehs right now.

The kittens are absolutely darling though. Wish I could adopt one...

If there's not an outstanding reason to give up the kitten, I agree with the other posters: keep the kitten. For one thing, that's just too cute for words!

Kittens are Siamese, I'm guessing?

Tonkinese, actually. Like Siamese but with better personalities. And less yowling. And tonks like to sleep in great big piles.

I so want to macro this with "...And I shall call him....MINI ME!"

And that photo is freakin' adorable. I agree with the other poster. It looks like Liam has claimed a friend. I believe I'd caption that picture, "MINE!" :D

We had a Cat like Liam and then we got a baby orange ball of fluff and they've been inseparable since.

(Altho' I completely understand your "house runneth over with kitties" situation. *sigh* I wish I could buy a mansion so all my fannish friends could live with me *with* all the cats that we could pet. ;-)

I know the feeling. Well, about the mansion for all the friends anyway. It's kind of surprising how quickly "Oh, look! Kitties!" can become "too many kitties," though.
