Except that she originally reported having MS in 2000, but now she's back-dating it to claim that she had it before the divorce. Wonder what else she's lying about.

So you're saying it changes the moral landscape if you get married, have an affair, divorce your first wife on her deathbed while she's dying of cancer to marry your mistress, then have another affair, then divorce your second wife BEFORE she is diagnosed with MS to marry your other mistress versus divorcing your second wife AFTER she is diagnosed with MS to marry your other mistress?

Now, frankly, I don't care how many partners he has or how he runs his privte life...right up to the point where he starts running on a "morality and family values" platform and attacking other candidates for, err, marital infidelity.

News flash: Clinton's impeachment wasn't about the sex.

If it had been, they would have impeached him the day he took the oath of office in 1993. He certainly had enough 'bimbos' accusing him, after all.

No, the Clinton impeachment was, is and always will have been about the perjury. Clinton lied about his sex life under oath to get out of trouble. That's a felony, and I for one don't think it's a Good Thing for the President to be commiting felonies while in office.

I for one would like to see the 'morality and family values' platform that you think Newt is running on. I think you have him confused with Santorum or Romney.

And by the way, the whole 'divorce your first wife on her deathbed while she's dying of cancer' story is a complete and utter urban legend, his daughters say so, and since that was their mom he was divorcing, they kind of are the authority in this department. Repeating that load of hooey just discredits you.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to criticize Newt, but you're mostly missing them and posting bogus ones instead.

I wasn't even talking, or thinking, about Clinton--that's old news, long dead. Newt is styling himself a "family values" man in his campaign right now. His claims of the moral high ground are, to my mind, significantly diminished by his relationship record.

Show me.

Give me quotes and links, because I haven't seen at all what you're claiming.

I've seen Newt campaigning with his daughters, who are his biggest fans; if that's what you mean by 'moral high ground', that's some pretty thin gruel there.

By the way. I notice that you have no answer to my demolition of your mythology about Newt's past marriages.

Oh, by the way: my sources are telling me that evangelical leaders are getting together with the GOP establishment in DC to get money for Santorum to try to stop Newt, because the evangelical leaders are afraid that if Newt gets the nomination, he won't push the 'family values' line like they want it pushed.

Err. Ok then :-p

with or without his 2nd ex having ms, they guy is a serial monogamist.

I have no objections to him PROPOSING an open marriage. But now he is running on high morality platform and is LYING about what he considers moral to appease the monied masses.

and this post is no longer without comment, mine makes 3 lol.
