Some thoughts on being a slut

I am SUCH a slut.

It seems I've fallen into the role of "Internet boy-toy." I'm not quite sure how it happened.

There is this person--I'll call her "L."--who lives a country away from me. I've talked to her online for about five years, on and off (mostly off); she was a very early beta tester for the first version of my computer sex game.

Well, she's started talking to me again, after an online absence of some three years, during which much has evidently happened.

And, as these things do, the talk rolled around to sex. It came to pass that she issued me a challenge: Call me. By voice.

Well, I consider myself to be fairly ceative in bed. I have done many things and experienced many pleasures. But the whole of teh human sexual experience is vast; so vast, I believe, that even if one were to sample something new every single night for an entire lifetime, one could do little more than scratch the surface.

So it's not necessarily that surprising, then, that I've never before experimented with phone sex. The fact that I had a deep and abading suspicion of anything not involving personal contact played a role as well; how can a disembodied voice, after all, ever hope to compete with the intensity and raw power of a "real" lover, in person?

How seriously I underestimated the power of a voice when coupled with a creative and fertile mind.

So now, it would seem, I am (in her own words) L.'s "Internet boy toy." How very, very strange.

My wife finds the whole thing VASTLY amusing.

*mind-boggled* Woah. What a thought. I think you're right...although...man...it's another one of those ideas, like the limits of time and space - something that ours minds just can't fold around comfortably. *boggle*

And yes, the imagination is a beautiful thing.

"Woah. What a thought. I think you're right..."

Yep. The Web site at The Nerve used to have a "position of the day" that went back for two years without a repeat...I checked. And there are plenty of positions not listed.

And that doesn't even cover sexual activities. BDSM by itself, for example, encompasses terrain broad enough to keep one busy for decades, and that assumes you play only one role and cover only one facet of all there is to explore!

The human sexual experience is so vast, I marvel at it...and I marvel at people who say things like "I'm bored with my sex life." With so much there is in the world, i wonder how people have time to be bored... :)

Totally. I'm discovering new things all the time, and new heights of sexual exploration. It's beautiful, simply beautiful. I don't know how anyone could go through life without pursuing all there is to it.

I've done phone sex a bunch in the past. It can be really amazing. It can be like having sex with an alien (but in a good way). It can be really boring. Sometimes it just flows. Other times I feel awkward and girlishly giggling, rolling my eyes all the time. Those times, as you might suspect, don't flow.

Curiously, I noticed that my ability to have good phone sex had nothing to do with how much I liked the person, how attached I felt, what kind of sex we were having body-to-body. No correlation that made any sense.

Surprisingly so, yeah. Who knew?

I don't think it'll ever replace the "up close and personal" kind, and to be honest, I'm not quite sure that it isn't just the novelty that makes it so interesting.

It's not really about the other person--at least in a manner of speaking. I mean, it is, but the things that make sex over a phone or computer line interesting aren't the same as the things that make it interesting in person.

Or at least, not all the same things. A good imaginationa nd a keen mind are important to any kind of sex, of course, but when the connection is limited and tenuous, a good ability to visualize and describe a setting become very important as well--things which are all but irrelevant to the more immediate, physical variety of sex.

So, it's the brain after all, huh?

Personally, I find myself very uncomfortable using a phone, even just for ordering a pizza. My phone sex experiences have been limited and well, as one can imagine, not fullfilling.

But what stroke me few years ago was how much can you feel "things" typing on a computer screen. I did some experimentation hanging around BDSM MUDs, most of the time with the same person. I was amazed at how much I was able to get in something similar to subspace, and how much, at some point non sexual text can have so strong sexual effects. Or how much your mind gets "into the play", how much commands like "blindfold" or "gag" can recreate the physical and mental feelings of being blindfolded or gagged. It only worked with Her though.

well, yeh, it's the brain
What else registers what we're "feeling"? Is conscious of what's happening? We may think it's our _____ (penis/crotch/nipple/tongue/libido/ego), but without that wire running to the brain we don't feel it, period.

And even when we feel . . . it's the brain that interprets/makes meaning of what's going on: decides is this good? Bad? Dirty? Spiritual? Boring? Fun? Amazing?

Sometimes I think the brain would be soooo much better off flying around the universe on its own without the body getting in the way as it often does! But since I'm a skin junkie. . . that's not my vote.
